My hobby is photography. Waaaaay back I began with analog SLR's. First a Mamiya Sekor all manual. Canon EOS (if I remember correctly the 650). Nikon F70. Then I entered the digital world with a Minolta DImage 7. But it was no match for an SLR. So after a year I bought the Fuji S2 Pro. Great camera, but big. Then I bought a Canon 350D. Not a match for the S2 Pro, but I liked Canon lenses more than Nikon lenses, so the body was a placeholder. After about 5 years I now have the Canon 40D, a big difference from the 350D. Faster, more consistent, more functions. The newer pictures are done with that camera. Older albums are from the 350D and the S2 Pro. I'm a Senior GIS consultant at Merkator with a strong Oracle background, so I write about Oracle, GIS, my own webserver (and getting this gallery up and running). Sometimes the occassional personal rant. At the moment I live in Barendrecht, just below the A15 highway.
